Thank you for taking a few moments to read this page, enabling me to introduce you to the ABC. I know that time is precious to everyone, especially with deadlines to meet, but I hope you will not miss this opportunity to understand the benefits that you and your Company might achieve by becoming members of the ABC. The inauguration meeting was in June 1993 and its aims were to provide an opportunity for local businesses to network in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. We meet on the first Tuesday of every month at O’Connor’s Secret Garden Bistro, 12 Normandy Street, Alton, GU34 1BX from 12.30 onwards and lunch is at 1 o’clock, where Peter provides us with either and excellent buffet of a selection of hot dishes together with coffee, at a very modest £7, encouraging “Food for Thought!” Business matters begin at 1.30 giving members a chance to learn about each other’s capabilities and discuss topics pertaining to their own business/services or matters which may affect the local community. The intention is to encourage inter-trading, as well as being a platform for new ventures. The Monthly Newsletter is normally sent by e-mail; however, members without the internet will receive a copy by post, keeping you in touch with forthcoming events and speakers. There are FREE ENTRIES to our WEBSITE and On-line Database, which includes full details of our members and their Companies. The membership consists of a multitude of different enterprises and is not confined to Alton alone. We seek to bring more skills into the town and local area and, as such, we have forged strong links with the Alton Chamber of Commerce and other networking groups in the town. The subscription is only £10 per annum (due when joining the ABC and on the 1st January annually). All businesses, large, medium and small are very welcome. PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST CONTACT OUR MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY, GILL PAYNE, ON 01420 562548 FOR DETAILS REGARDING JOINING THE ABC. PLEASE DO NOT USE THE E-MAIL ADDRESS ON OUR WEBSITE. You can download the following application form if you do not wish to receive a paper copy. |
